Service Charge in Maldives : Top Resorts, December 2021

The Sunny Side of Life just welcomed this week 1.3 million tourist visitors for the year 2021 despite the covid-19 challenges and this festive season was and still very successful from all sides.

The service charge from most of Resorts in December 2020 was higher than the current one of December 2021 despite the number of visitors in December 2021 is much higher than the number of guests in 2020, and this is explained that : one of the factors is that last year during same period Resorts had less staff than now due to Corona situation and many Resorts terminated the contracts of many staff in 2020, so the service charge amount that time was divided on less employees than now and that’s why was much bigger.
