Important Notice: Private Speedboat Transfers to Resorts
Please be advised that private speedboat transfers from MLE Airport to any resort are strictly prohibited unless prior permission is obtained from the resort. Most resorts in the Maldives do not allow third-party boats or external transfers to come to them, as they prefer to manage transfers to their Guests themselves. So please before contacting us to arrange your transfer, you must first confirm with your resort that they allow external private transfer arrangements. If your resort provides approval, you may then reach out to us. Upon confirmation, we will provide the resort with the vessel registration number and the expected arrival time for your transfer. Please note that this service is only available if you have a confirmed booking with the resort.
We currently offer combined transfers from MLE Airport to selected resorts in certain atolls, via local islands where passengers will usually change boats. This transfer method can save you a significant amount, as resorts often charge much higher rates for their own transfers, especially when using a seaplane.
1- SOUTH ARI ATOLL
Shared scheduled transfer from MLE Airport to Mahibadhoo, or Maamigili, followed by a private speedboat transfer to your resort.
* Example 1: MLE Airport → Mahibadhoo (shared) → NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort (private)
* Example 2: Male’ City → Maamigili (shared) → Villa Park Sun Island Resort (private)
2- ALIF ALIF ATOLL
– Shared scheduled transfer from MLE Airport to Thoddoo, followed by a private speedboat transfer to your resort
* Example : MLE Airport → Thoddoo (shared) → Elaidhoo by Cinnamon (private)
– Shared scheduled transfer from MLE Airport to Gangehi, Kuramathi, & Nika Resorts by the same boat, with stops at local islands to drop off guests.
3- SOUTH MALE’ ATOLL
Shared scheduled transfer from MLE Airport to Gulhi, or Guraidhoo, followed by a private speedboat transfer to your resort.
* Example 1: MLE Airport → Gulhi (shared) → Sun Siyam Olhuveli (private)
* Example 2: MLE Airport → Guraidhoo (shared) → Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma (private)
4- NORTH MALE’ ATOLL
Shared scheduled transfer from MLE Airport to Dhiffushi, Huraa, or Himmafushi followed by a private speedboat transfer to your resort.
* Example 1: MLE Airport → Dhiffushi (shared) → Oblu Select Lobigili (private)
* Example 2: Male’ City → Huraa (shared) → Club Med Kani (private)
5- VAAVU ATOLL
Shared scheduled transfer from MLE Airport to Fulidhoo, followed by a private speedboat transfer to your resort.
* Example : MLE Airport → Fulidhoo (shared) → NOOE Maldives Kanuvaashi (private)
6- BAA ATOLL
Shared scheduled transfer from Male’ City to selected resorts only, along our route, (Example Reethi Resort, Milaidhoo Maldives, The Nautilus…), with brief stops at local islands for guest drop-offs.
7- RAA ATOLL
Shared scheduled transfer from Male’ City to selected resorts only, along our route, (Example Brennia Kottefaru, Ifuru,…), with brief stops at local islands for guest drop-offs.
If you are already on a local island near that resort, we can arrange a transfer from that local island to that resort. Examples include transfers from Gulhi to Anantara Veli Resort or vice versa, from Dhiffushi to Meeru Island Resort & Spa, from Dhangethi to Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, from Mahibadhoo to Lily Beach Resort & Spa, and etc, etc,…
Please note: Do not confuse these transfers with day passes to resorts. They are completely different. A day visit to a resort, for example, from Maafushi to Sun Siyam Olhuveli or from Gulhi to Adaaran Prestige Vadoo Resort, includes round-trip transfer, entrance fee, buffet lunch, drinks, and use of the resort’s facilities. It is like a day package. A day visit to a resort is different from a regular transfer.
The cost of private hire speedboat transfers in Maldives depends on several factors, including distance, boat type, engine power, passenger capacity, season, weather conditions, and current fuel prices. Read more here
Important: Due to fluctuating fuel prices + many changes in the Maldives always, we only accept reservations within the same month only. Bookings are usually confirmed only 5–7 days before your transfer. Please do not contact us for transfers months in advance, as prices and availability can change.
During rough seas, a larger boat is required instead of a small or regular one to ensure safety, which may result in higher costs.
Important Note: Some resorts may charge additional fees for private hire boats, such as docking charges. These fees are set by the resort and will be added to the total transfer cost.
